MUSIC FOR FOUR OSCILLATORS
In a collaboration with Harvard University, students of the Berklee Interdisciplinary Arts Institute were asked to write original pieces of music in response to the seminal work of minimalistic composer and director Tony Conrad. Music For Four Oscillators is a piece written in response to Conrad's work Four Violins where Pereira captures the essence of Conrad with a modular system and two violins. The premier of this piece took place at Carpenter Center For Visual Arts at Harvard University. Click here to see the video and here for the text score.
VISUALS FOR SUZANNE CIANI
Visiting artist at Berklee and Buchla pioneer, Suzanne Ciani had commissioned custom audio reactive visuals for her live performances from Pereira. The software was created from ground up in Max with Jitter. The visuals captured the essence of her music and were generated by it too, it was also ported to be controlled by an iPad via the MIRA framework for Max. The Max patch can be downloaded here.
